Time flies fast, Spring festival is coming now! it is a time for people to give an final answer about 2016 and have a new start of 2017.



What is the Spring festival?
  "Spring Festival"  is Chinese new year, according to Chinese zodiac,2017 is the Year of the Rooster. It’s a major Chinese festival which lasts from 1st Jan to 7th Jan in Chinese lunar calendar.
Spring festival is an important annual reunion time for family, At the New Year’s Eve, people enjoy delicious food like hot-pot, dumpling with whole family and watch Spring Festival Gala together after dinner. Besides, People often visit their relatives or friends during this period. The elders also give children money in red paper envelopes called "luck money"  to show their best wishes.

How to celebrate?

 In China, when we talk to spring festival, we have to mention the celebration activities of the spring festival:


Such as thoroughly cleanse the house in order to sweep away any ill-fortune and to make way for good incoming luck;

◆ Such as decorated Windows and doors with red color paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of" good fortune" or "happiness", "wealth", and "longevity";

◆ Such as Upside-down"福"Character,  "福" means"good fortune ;

◆ Such as lighting the firework at the first day of the lunar year;

◆ Such as making New Year Greetings or pay new year calls;

◆    Such as arranging Lion dance and Dragon  dance which bring good luck, prosperity, wealth;
 

◆ Such as eating spring pancake, eating sticky rice cake and so on, which is different from region to region, but they express something in common ---- Chinese people’ good wishes for the coming year. 


The holiday arragement of Kenteer

 The Chinese New Year is often accompanied by loud, enthusiastic greetings, red decorations, It is a big festival for chinese people not in home but also in chinatown abroad.

To celebrate spring festivel, chinese people normally have a long holiday about 7 to 15 days, so do we.
